About us:

Brendan Duffey Audio is an audio mixing and mastering studio located in Jupiter, Florida. I am dedicated to pushing the creative and sonic envelope to deliver unique and powerful listening experiences. My objective is to take your music to its full potential.

Brendan Duffey is a Grammy award winning mixing and mastering engineer. 13 Grammy nominations, multiple certified Gold, Platinum and Multi Platinum records and awards in film and advertising are some of the highlights of his 25+ career in music production. Brendan has worked with Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Sheryl Crow, Devin Townsend, Ella Mai, Mount Westmore (Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Too Short, E-40), Milton Nascimento, Daniela Mercury, Luan Santana, Graham Bonnet, Muni Long, Anitta, De La Tierra, Angra and many more.


Mixing and Mastering:

In my work the objective is to enhance the sonic character and attitude of the music. I ensure the best possible quality and translatability of every song I work with. Along with the musical sensitivities I focus heavily on the signal chain and gain structure to insure the highest quality result. My extensive experience coupled with high quality analog and digital signal processing helps me make decisions to achieve the highest quality mix and master possible.

Brendan Duffey Bio

Brendan Duffey is an acclaimed mix and mastering engineer with over 20 years of experience working with renowned artists across the globe. Music has been his lifelong passion, starting when he played piano, saxophone, and guitar as a child.

Brendan began his professional journey at Sacramento City College's recording arts program. His big break came when he gained invaluable experience working under renowned producer Sylvia Massy in world-class recording studios.

He then toured extensively as a live sound engineer for acts including Run DMC, Slash, Anthrax, Testament, and Maroon 5. Brendan continued honing his skills, graduating from Chico State with a degree in Recording Arts. A residency at the renowned Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity allowed him to collaborate with cutting-edge artists.

In 2004, he relocated to São Paulo, Brazil, working for one of the country's top studios and launching his acclaimed Norcal Studio in 2006.

Upon his return to California in 2015, Brendan not only imparted his expertise as a professor at American River College but also sought fresh creative endeavors. This led him to establish Brendan Duffey Audio in Davis, where he attracted a diverse clientele from across the globe.

Now operating out of Jupiter, Florida, Brendan is continuing to work with major artists including Bruce Dickinson, Devin Townsend, Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Ella Mai, Milton Nascimento, and more. His work has earned him 12 Grammy nominations across US and Latin categories, including a Grammy win for his work on Muni Long’s 2022 platinum hit song “Hrs and Hrs.”

As a sought-after Dolby Atmos mixing engineer, and mastering engineer across an array of music genres, Brendan continues to push boundaries and deliver exceptional work for some of the biggest names in music. His lifelong dedication to his craft is reflected in his ongoing success in the music industry.
